Hello Classmate!
I hope this note finds you doing well.
With only seven months to go, the countdown to our 50th Class Reunion continues! Make your plans NOW to join us the weekend of September 17th, 18th, 19th. It is going to be “the best reunion ever!” I am looking forward to seeing as many classmates as possible. As the cartoon above says… Our RE*NION won’t be the same without *U!
I am interested in “what U have done” and “where U have done it,” but there is also a part of me that just wants to see U… as if just passing by on our way to class or gym or detention! To enjoy the feeling of togetherness one more time! By the way, I will be the over-weight, mostly bald, hard-of-hearing guy who takes the microphone and emcees a Saturday night program that will be worth, hopefully, far more than the price of admission!
The best source of reunion information is our class webpage (https://www.stedmond71.com). If you have changed your email or forgotten your password over the years, have trouble logging on, or want to join our free and exclusive website for the first time, please email Mary Lyman Ryan at maryandkevin1@verizon.net. Using our webpage to engage you, gather classmate profiles, and keep you updated on reunion activity helps us control our expenses. As we look back at this reunion, we can also use our webpage to post photos and hold memories for years to come. So get on board with stedmond71.com!
For those who are traveling back to Fort Dodge, we have reserved a block of 40 rooms at the Brookstone Inn (phone 515-206-1591) and 20 rooms at the Cobblestone Inn (515-302-8788). When making a reservation, mention St Edmond Class of 1971’s 50th Class Reunion Block to get a special rate. Both hotels will hold these rooms until August 23rd, or the date the blocked rooms are full, whichever comes first.
We will send out registration forms and much more information about our weekend on the 50th anniversary of our graduation: May 20th, 2021! Watch your email!
Of course, we will be keeping an eye on the pandemic and vaccine rollout. We are watching the situation nationally and we hope you are moving ahead with your plans to join us. We will be monitoring the CDC Guidelines for safe travel as the year progresses.
It’s time to reunite and celebrate! I am really looking forward to seeing U in September… and I know other classmates feel the same way! Go Gaels!
Best wishes always,
Jerry
